With Virgil writing the Aeneid, his vision of a Virgilian Hero still lives on. To this day we can see that people on both sides of the world display Virgilian Hero traits in their stories keeping the standards as an epic hero very high.

I like how you brought up the point how our military acts like Virgilian heroes. I sometimes feel as if our military doesn't get the respect that they deserve. They put their lives on the line for our freedom and fight for our country. Our military is a great example of a Virgilian hero because they think of other before themselves. Also, I enjoy the fact that you put Master Chief/Halo in your blog, as Halo is one of my favorite video game franchises. Overall, really enjoyed your blog post!!

I like how you seemed to effortlessly make connections from several movies and games to the Virgilian Hero, this showed how well you understand the concept of the Virgilian Hero. I also like how you were able to see that this hero model is something that is not only found in American culture but in other cultures as well, such as Japan. Overall I would say that this blog post was very well done and I think that through it you conveyed not only your understanding of this topic, but your personality and interests as well.
